The animation displays the 3D-tour, segment by segment, where each segment is the path through 2,000 stars. The edges (between neighboring stars in the tour) are colored in tour order; the hue of each edge represents its position in the tour.

The image is interactive. With a mouse you can zoom in and out, pressing the left and right buttons. On a phone or tablet, zoom by pinching, orbit with a one-finger swipe, and pan with a two-finger swipe.

You can zoom with a mouse (or the W and S keys) and pan with the arrow keys (or with A, D, F, and R). Click "Open Controls" at the top of the image to display a menu to change the rotation speed, zoom in and out, change the speed of the animation, and change the number of consecutive segments of the tour that are visible.
