My parents were Holocaust survivors as well?my mother was in Auschwitz and my
father in forced labour camps?much of their respective families were murdered in
gas chambers?at my house the Holocaust was always discussed openly to make sure
that the next generation learns about the atrocities, never forgets about the
systematic industrial scale killing of Jews by one of the most civilized
countries at the time (with the keen help of representatives from the local
population), with intent to wipe out the entire people?I suspect that many like me
suffer of second generation effects?but these effects should make us alert to
emerging threats that might necessitate that we pick up suitcases and seek
shelter elsewhere?it could happen anywhere.

Thanks Evelyn, David and Henry for orchestrating the event last night and
archiving the relevant documentation?it was enjoyable to reminisce (even though
much of the discussion reconfirmed in my mind that my 2.5 years at OHS in
somewhat of mental fog)?still was nice to see that so many of our colleagues have
achieved such successful carriers and now enjoying an active and contented
retirement.

Regards and stay safe
