I tend to be very private so this is not easy

I went to McGill after OHS. I really do not remember much about the 11th grade
or a lot of my first few years at McGill. I was not coping well with the loss of
my older brother or the disfunction that it caused in my family. I wanted to go
to Cornell and I wanted to become an architect. Neither happened. Instead I got
a BA in Physiological Psych and Poli Sci. The thinking skills definitely have
come in handy.

My mother wanted me to get married but I went to MacDonald instead and taught
school in Point St Charles for a year. It was an eye opening experience. It is a
neighborhood that I did not know existed.

I did get married. It was the best way to get out of the house without my father
feeling that he suffered another loss. That did not last long ? the marriage. But
I got out!

Fast forward, I moved to Newport Beach (Calif) and worked in one of my dad?s
businesses in Anaheim. It was just about the only way that I could work because
I had no papers. The green card application was in the works. I met Bob Bregman
when he was in Calif on a business trip. The rest is history. I moved to NYC, we
got married, had a daughter ? Danielle who is one the joys of my life.

We ultimately got divorced and he has since passed away. So, anyway you look at
it, I would be single. Howeve, being a single mom and the bread winner when your
daughter is only in the 3rd grade was not a slam dunk. But I prevailed ? she and I
both did.

Work history:

 * Ran the accounting dept of a plus sized ladies schmatta factory in Mtl while
at McGill. I lied and said that I had dropped out of school. My dad made me
quit when I was no longer a tax deduction. I made him pay me as I did not
take an allowance from him. It was a question of ? if I do not take your
money, you cannot tell me what to do.
 * 3 summers working in the accounting dept at my dad?s business while I was
    still in college
 * taught school for a year. Very rewarding
 * ran a standard bred horse farm enterprise that had 4 studs, a racing stable
and some brood mares. We bred other peoples? mares and took in turn--outs from
the thoroughbreds. It was a big enterprise and my job was to reign in costs.
 * Consulted to fortune 1000 companies at an all female firm (Cox Lloyd &
Assoc). I also was in charge of business development ? a fancy way of saying
sales. My biggest coup was bringing in IBM as a client in 1983. We showed
them how to sell the PC into corporate America and we would run up to Armonk
to present to sales teams from across the country. It was a home run for all
    concerned
 * Stolen away to take a late stage start up to market internationally till I
got sick with undiagnosed Lyme disease. That is when I moved to NJ jto cut
    my burn rate.
 * All the rest is on LinkedIn so why should I bore you.

I now have my own business. It is going on 16 years and I work when I want to so
that gives me time to travel. Travel is one of my passions along with
photography, music, people, and live performances of all kinds.

I have an amazing son-in-law and a spectacular 15 year old granddaughter. My
daughter will be celebrating her 49thj b-day in early March. By then I will have
had my second covid shot, will have been able to quarantine and get tested to I
can go visit them in VT where they have been since this pandemic started.

I have read all of your stories and they have touched me in many ways. I am
looking forward to seeing you all tonight and I would like to thank you for
filling me in on things that I was too young or too stupid to see as a kid.

Big hug to all
