Subject: nomination for Fields postdoc for Man Shun Ang

Henry,

With this email, I am nominating Man Shun (Andersen) Ang for the Fields-Waterloo postdoc position.  Andersen received his PhD from University of Mons under the supervision of Prof. Nicolas Gillis, a world leading expert on nonnegative matrix factorization.  Andersen started his postdoc position with us in March and is working on low-rank factorization problem.   He is energetic and full of interesting ideas, and we are currently crystallizing the specific question to address.  I expect that his work will lead to several advances in this important area.
