Introduction

The main purpose of this project is to solve the bus driver scheduling problem using mathematical models, linear programming, and other optimization techniques.

In order to solve the problem, a linear model is created. Formulation of the model, assumptions, index sets, variables, and data are clearly explained and included in the Technical Analysis section of the site, along with a detailed interpretation of the model.

One of the main purposes of this report is not only to find an optimal solution based on the given data, but to do a sensitivity analysis based on the optimal solution which would give management more information for decision making. Implications of the sensitivity analysis and validity of the solution are also included in the Technical Analysis of this site. 

Despite the complexity of a mathematics model, conditions in real life are always more dynamic. Therefore, a critique of the model is given in the Avenues for Extension section of this report to assess the potential improvements to the model
