Additional Stall Required = SLength - Unused Stall = 16' - 4' = 12'

Additional Stall per Parking Stall = Additional Stall Required / # of Driving Aisles

= 12' / 4 = 3'

We also know that the unused width in this lot is 2' .

Unused Width per Parking Stall = Unused Width / # of Driving Aisles = 2'/ 2 = 1'

Additional Stall Required = SWidth - Unused Stall = 8' - 2' = 6'

Additional Stall per Parking Stall = Additional Stall Required / # of Driving Aisles

= 6' / 2 = 3'

Therefore, the aisle width can be increased by up to 1' and decreased by up to 3' without changing the optimal solution. As well, the entrance can be increased by up to 2' and decreased by up to 6' without changing the optimal solution.
