Sensitivity Analysis - Parking Lot Size Section 2

The amount of unused length in the main rectangle:

LengthI = 240'

Current Length Used = I * SLength = 15 * 16' = 240'

Current Unused Length = LengthI - Current Length Used = 240' - 240' = 0'

Therefore, one can not change the length of the parking lot in the main rectangle without changing the optimal solution.

The amount of unused length in the edges:

LengthI = 240'

Current Length Used = I * SWidth = 30 * 8' = 240'

Current Unused Length = LengthI - Current Length Used = 240' - 240' = 0'

Therefore, one can not change the length of the parking lot in the main rectangle without changing the optimal solution.

The amount of unused width:

WidthJ = 350'

Current Width Used = J * SWidth = 43 * 8' = 344'

Current Unused Width = WidthJ - Current Width Used = 350' - 344' = 6'

Therefore, one can decrease the lot width by up to 6' or increase the lot width by up to 2' (8' - 6') without changing the optimal solution.

Conclusion:

One can decrease the lot width by 6', or increase the lot width by 6' without changing the optimal solution.
