Sensitivity Analysis - Parking Stall Size Section 3

The amount of unused length:

LengthI = 240'

Current Length Used = I * SLength = 15 * 16' = 240'

Current Unused Length = LengthI - Current Length Used = 240' - 240' = 0'

Therefore, one can not change the length of the parking stalls without changing the optimal solution.

The amount of unused width in the edges:

LengthI = 240'

Current Length Used = I * SWidth = 30 * 8' = 240'

Current Unused Length = LengthI - Current Length Used = 240' - 240' = 0'

Therefore, one can not change the width of the parking stalls on the edges without changing the optimal solution.

The amount of unused width in the main rectangle:

WidthJ= 268'

Current Width Used = J * SWidth = 43 * 8' = 264'

Current Unused Width = WidthJ - Current Width Used = 268' - 264' = 4'

Current Unused Width per Parking Stall = Current Unused Length / Number of Parking Stalls

= 4' / 33 = .1212'

Additional Width Required = SWidth - Current Unused Length = 8' - 4' = 4'

Per Parking Stall = 4' / Number of Parking Stalls = .1212'

Therefore, one can increase the parking stall width by up to .1395' or decrease the parking stall width by up to .0465' in the main rectangle without changing the optimal solution.

Conclusion:

One can increase the parking stall width by .1212', or decrease the parking stall width by .1212' without changing the optimal solution.
