Project Introduction

The problem revolves around the pizza shop name Pedro's Pizza located in downtown Toronto Harbourfront. Currently, the pizza shop does not deliver as part of regular business procedures but would like to offer it in order to stay competitive with the larger franchises. In order to determine whether it is feasible, or desirable, it would be logical to analyze the costs and factors involved in expanding the business. One of the factors to take into account is the relative delivery times of pizzas to c ustomers and the potential costs involved. The problem that has been presented is one of determining optimal paths to customer locations during the delivery process as well as the number of drivers required in order to meet the demand in a reasonable amo unt of time. In solving this problem, important information will be gained for the costs associated with the pizza delivery business.

This is the area that Pedro would like to include in his delivery region (inside the red boundary). The star is where Pedro's Pizza is located. An approximate four kilometer radius has been decided to allow a delivery within a set period of time.
