Stu Hunter Research Conference 2016

March 6-9, 2016 in Waterloo, Canada.

Introduction

The fourth annual Stu Hunter Research Conference will be held at the Delta Hotel in Waterloo Canada from Sunday March 6 to Wednesday March 9, 2016. The Conference ends at 5:00 pm Wednesday afternoon. Waterloo is about 100 km west of Toronto on the way to Detroit. As in previous years, the Conference is by invitation only and will be limited to approximately 60 participants. Conference honoree Stu Hunter will attend the conference.

The format is the same as previous Hunter Conferences with two speakers each day, two discussants per speaker and ample opportunity for discussion from the floor. New this year, we plan to have a poster session designed to highlight the work of some younger participants.

How to get to Waterloo

Toronto Pearson International Airport is about 90 km from Waterloo; you can drive to the Delta Hotel in about 1 hour.

Airways Transit connects Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), with the Waterloo area providing 24/7 door to door shared ride service. Airways Transit has provided a reduced single passenger conference rate of $79.00 one way, tax included. Advance reservations are required. You can book this on line on the Airways Transit website. Alternatively, American Airlines has twice-daily flights from Chicago to our local Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) that is about 15 km from the Delta Hotel.

Registration Process

The conference fee is Cdn$800. This fee includes accommodation for three nights (March 6, 7 & 8) and all meals from Sunday evening March 6 to lunch on Wednesday March 9. If you wish to stay extra nights, before or after the Conference, please include these dates on the registration form you received with your invitation. Payment for the extra nights at the hotel (~$180 per night) and any incidental expenses can be paid on check-out.

Because the Conference is by invitation only, the registration process is as follows:

1. Complete the registration form attached to your invitation email and submit it to Kitti Muzslai.
2. Kitti will book your hotel room for the dates requested (including extra nights).
3. Kitti will then send you a confirmation number, instructions, and how to pay the Cdn$800 Conference fee by credit card.
4. After payment is made, you will receive a receipt by email from the Delta Hotel confirming your place at the Conference.
